Sweetness of the day with the title Give A Little from Family of the Year. It’s light, sweet, in short, it feels good where it goes.
Originally from Los Angeles, the group was founded in 2009 and has not failed to be productive. His third album, entitled Family of the Year, seems to fit into a more pop / rock record than its predecessors in view of this first excerpt, Give A Little.
It is on the folk guitar that the piece unveils its first notes, quickly embellished with a basic tempo but effective on the drums. And here, a voice vaguely reminiscent of St. Vincent brings a bit of vivacity to this title at first rather commonplace. Unfortunately, if the beginning is exciting, the linearity of the song makes him lose the seal, the melody is out of steam.
Still, Give A Little is a cheerful and bona fide piece that will appeal to many. To taste without depriving oneself, the time of the release of the album planned on September 4th. Maybe the album of the Year?
