The latest phenom to emerge from Melbourne’s surf-rock scene Ruby Cannon drops ‘Ruby and the Cannons’ – a project which effortlessly places Ruby’s signature charming vocals on a bed of dazzling instrumentals. Injecting elements of indie, surf-rock, desert and 70’s sound, the four-track EP is a bouncy, energetic and dreamy offering that stuns from the opening notes of ‘Call Home’ to the final beats of ‘On The Boulevard’.
Penned during the depths of the pandemic and composed using an acoustic guitar, Ruby explains, “I’m so excited to be finally releasing music that really feels like me, these songs are the sound I’ve been trying to find for a long time”.
